On January 9, 2026, Cedarbluff, Mississippi, was rocked by a multi-site shooting that left six people dead. The first reported scene was the Moore family mobile home, where 67-year-old Glenn Moore, his 33-year-old son Quinten Moore, and 55-year-old brother-in-law Willie Ed Guines were found dead, each suffering gunshot wounds to the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the alleged shooter was 24-year-old Daricka M. Moore, a son of Glenn Moore, who was taken into custody that night. Investigators believe he stole his brother’s truck, then went to a cousin’s home and fatally shot 7-year-old second cousin Mikylia Guines after an alleged failed sexual battery attempt. The violence continued at the Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus, where the pastor, Barry Bradley, and his brother, Samuel Bradley, were also killed.

Daricka Moore was arrested at a police roadblock about five hours after the killings began, found carrying a rifle and a handgun, and booked into the Clay County jail without bail. He has been charged with three counts of capital murder and three counts of first-degree murder plus related charges; the DA said some first-degree counts may be upgraded to capital murder and intends to seek the death penalty. He pleaded not guilty at his initial court appearance and a motive remains under investigation.
