On January 3, 2026, 27-year-old Black woman Tina Farmer was shot and killed on Southwest Journey Court in Lake City, Florida. Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 4:07 p.m. and found Farmer deceased from a gunshot wound to her head.
Witnesses led investigators to establish a perimeter and search a nearby wooded area. Multiple agencies assisted, including SWAT, K-9 teams and drones from local and state partners. A few hours later, shortly after 7 p.m., the suspect was located dead in the woods and identified as 19-year-old Tyndale M. Mullins, described in the report as the victim’s cousin. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation into what led to the fatal shooting is ongoing and all family members were notified.
Does anyone in Lake City have information about Tina’s last known movements or the events that afternoon?
