A family argument in the small community of Stillmore, near Twin City, Georgia, ended in the death of 35-year-old LaCorey White on the morning of Monday, January 26, 2026. First responders were called to a residence on the 400 block of 2nd Street around 10 a.m., where LaCorey White was found shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to assist. Investigators identified LaCorey White’s older brother, 44-year-old LaMarkius Tiwaun White of Vidalia, as the suspect and determined LaMarkius shot his brother during an argument. LaMarkius was arrested by the GBI and booked into the Emanuel County Jail; he faces charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. A first appearance was held February 4, 2026. An autopsy for LaCorey White is scheduled to be performed by the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Pooler.
Are there details about the family, the residence on 2nd Street, or the events that morning that anyone can share?
