Hey everyone, I've been following the Santa Ana case involving David Nicholas Bravo Martinez, and something that's been gnawing at me is the whole angle of the driver managing to get them to a different location after getting shot. I can't imagine the panic and adrenaline that must have taken over those few minutes. It's pretty remarkable and tragic all at once. It must be so daunting for the friend who survived. Not only did he have to endure the physical trauma, but also the emotional weight of the tragic loss and the vulnerability of escaping such a horrible situation. I'm hoping he gets all the physical and emotional support he needs. It's easy to forget how much survivors go through beyond what’s reported. We're all quick to focus on the perpetrators and justice, which is crucial, but those who walk away from these horrors need our thoughts too. If anyone is from the area, it would be good to know if the community has plans to support both families – perhaps there's something we can contribute to? Let’s continue to keep David’s family in our thoughts and hope that they get the answers they desperately need soon. Stay safe out there, everyone.
