Davion Calvin, 24, was killed in an apartment on Peabody Road in Vacaville on February 10, 2026. Police and paramedics responded about 10:49 a.m. and found Calvin with at least one gunshot wound. He was treated at the scene and taken to a trauma center but died of his injuries.

Investigators described the shooting as not random and said they believed Calvin was targeted. Detectives focused on Calvin’s personal relationships while probing motive. On February 13, 2026, police arrested 20-year-old Michael Andrew Ward in Oakland; Ward, reported to have been Calvin’s roommate in the same apartment, was booked on suspicion of murder and a firearm was recovered. He was held without bail with an arraignment set for February 17, 2026.
