Susan Curtis was 15 when she disappeared from Brigham Young University on the evening of June 27, 1975. A student from Bountiful, Utah, she and her sister had ridden their bicycles to a youth conference; after attending a formal banquet Susan left early to walk the short distance back to her dormitory to brush her teeth because of new braces and was never seen again. Her toothbrush was found dry in the dorm room and her personal belongings and money were untouched.

Investigators initially considered that she might have run away because of a prior history of running away, and there were a few unconfirmed sightings that went nowhere. A former junior high coach who had been arrested earlier for unlawful sexual intercourse with Susan was questioned but ultimately cleared. Years later, in 1989, Ted Bundy gave a tape-recorded confession claiming he kidnapped and murdered Susan and gave a burial location near a highway by Price, Utah; searches there produced no trace and her remains have never been recovered. The case remains unsolved.

Did anyone who knew Susan at BYU or attended that youth conference see something that night or remember anyone following her toward the dorms?
