A family dispute in a Simpsonville, South Carolina, neighborhood on the afternoon of Friday, March 6, 2026, ended with 37-year-old Terrence Brent Rapley dead from at least one gunshot wound. The shooting occurred on Garrison Grove Drive; two men were found with gunshot injuries and taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Terrence Rapley later died. The other wounded man was identified as the victim’s brother.

Authorities arrested 19-year-old Isaiah Rapley, the nephew of the deceased and son of the surviving victim, and charged him with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. A judge denied bond on all counts and sent the case to circuit court, ordering that Isaiah Rapley have no contact with his father or other family members of the victims. The shooting has been described by investigators as arising from a family dispute.
