A dispute over loud music in Spring Hill turned deadly on April 7, 2026. Neighbors say 52-year-old Francis Biegaj was shot at about 4:30 p.m. on Gillian Circle after an argument about volume coming from Biegaj’s buggy. First responders found Biegaj with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his shoulder; he was taken to a local hospital but died of his injuries. Shell casings were found in the driveway and witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a man leave the scene holding what looked like a pistol.
Police arrested 51-year-old neighbor Tony Deuser after a standoff at his home that involved SWAT and Crisis Response Teams; he surrendered and, during questioning, reportedly admitted shooting Biegaj, saying he’d become upset over the loud music and shot him after Biegaj refused to lower the volume and asked him to leave the property. Deuser was booked at the Hernando County Detention Center on a second-degree murder charge and is being held without bond while the investigation continues.
Did anyone in the Spring Hill area hear or see activity on Gillian Circle that afternoon that could help clarify what happened?
