Stephon Peake, 28, known to friends and family as Herky, was shot and killed on the front porch of a home on Eighth Avenue in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, on the evening of Saturday, April 4, 2026. The attack occurred around 10 p.m.; Peake was with a friend when a masked individual who appeared to have been waiting for him approached and fired multiple times. Responders treated Peake at the scene before he was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital, where he died. His death came just over a week before his 29th birthday.

Peake was a father of two daughters. Authorities described the shooting as a very planned and very targeted ambush and said there was no indication of a wider threat to the community. Investigators believe the primary shooter was a tall, masked individual thought to be an African-American man; a witness reported a second person running from the scene and the pair possibly leaving in a dark-colored vehicle on a rainy night. The case has been linked to a subsequent shots-fired incident in Aliquippa and the arrest of two people after a white sedan was located; firearms were recovered and ballistics testing is underway to see if there is a connection.

Does anyone who knew Stephon or who was in the Beaver Falls or Aliquippa area that night have information that could help investigators?
