Nancy Smith was 32 when she was found murdered in her Provost Drive home in New Windsor, New York, on December 5, 2001. Her parents, Edward and Lenore Smith, discovered her in the living room after she failed to show up for work as a manager at Horton Medical Center. An autopsy confirmed death from multiple stab wounds.

Investigators noted there was no sign of forced entry, a detail that suggested she may have known whoever entered her home. The New Windsor Police Department was joined by the New York State Police and the FBI during the investigation. Despite evidence collection and periodic public appeals, no arrests were ever announced and no suspects were publicly named.

Her family, including her sister Barbara, has maintained public calls for justice and rewards have been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Does anyone in New Windsor or the surrounding area remember anything from December 2001 that could help explain who had access to Nancy’s home?
