It’s really tragic what happened to Kenneth W. Mims. I grew up in Terrell and visited Breezy Hill Park so many times—it was always a neighborhood gathering spot. To hear about an act of violence in such a familiar place is deeply unnerving. I hope that the community can find a way to process this tragedy and come together to support Kenneth’s family during this difficult time. I’m curious about the angle of the investigation, particularly regarding why it took a week to arrest the teenage suspect. Was there some kind of initial confusion, or were the authorities keeping details under wraps to strengthen their case? With no clear motive revealed yet, it raises so many questions about what led to this senseless loss of life. Keeping Kenneth and his family in my thoughts as we wait for more answers.
