A night out at Lucky Strike on Brigman Road in Matthews, North Carolina, ended with the death of 43-year-old Travis Marcus Lock on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Police say a dispute that began inside the bowling alley escalated outside just before 1 a.m. and involved several people. According to court documents, an arranged outing put Lock and another group together; Lock reportedly became upset, made repeated calls to one of the group members, and later confronted them in the parking lot, where he allegedly punched 48-year-old Ray Jevon Teasley in the face.

Investigators report Teasley retrieved a gun from his vehicle and, saying he felt threatened after seeing something silver in Lock’s hand, fired one shot that struck Lock in the upper left torso. Lock was pronounced dead at the scene; Teasley fled but later surrendered and was charged with voluntary manslaughter. Family and friends remembered Lock, known as Big Trav, as a jokester and devoted father who had recently turned his life around; a GoFundMe and a funeral at Roseboro’s Mortuary in Charlotte were arranged.

Are there any witnesses or anyone who was at Lucky Strike that night who can add details about what led to the confrontation?
