Jorge Rodriguez Perez, a 20-year-old man from Mexico, was last seen on May 28, 2002, while crossing the Arizona desert near Tucson en route to Phoenix. Reports say he was traveling with a coyote who allegedly abandoned him in the desert after claiming he was apparently dead. He was described as about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Distinguishing marks include a burn on his right hand, chicken pox scars on his chest and between his eyebrows, and a birthmark on his lower back.

At the time he was last seen he wore blue jeans, a black jacket with yellow lines, a baseball hat, and black and red tennis shoes. He reportedly carried a black backpack that contained his wallet with identification and his wedding ring. The Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office opened a case on February 24, 2003, but the circumstances remain unresolved and the family has no answers.

Does anyone have information about Jorge’s movements in late May 2002 or about that stretch of desert near Tucson?
