I'm sitting here thinking about what Ja'nova's family must be going through right now, especially her grandmother, Laticha Ellison. I can't even imagine the pain of losing such a bright young soul under such tragic circumstances. It's upsetting to hear how preventable this could have been. I find myself questioning how a household could allow a firearm to be so accessible, particularly with children around. To the family, this loss is incomprehensible. Laticha's anger is more than justified; no child should have to be around a firearm, let alone become a victim of it. And it makes me wonder about the adults in the house—were they knowledgeable about gun safety? Could something have been done differently? Ja'nova's grandmother described her as smart and aware of the danger guns pose, which intensifies the need for answers. I hope that the ongoing investigation brings clarity and justice to the family. The fact that detectives are still piecing everything together shows that there's more to uncover, and I'm hopeful they'll find the answers they need. My thoughts are with Ja'nova's loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
