A targeted shooting in an employee-only parking garage at an Amazon delivery station in Melrose Park, Illinois, on the morning of June 4, 2026, left 27-year-old Travion Taylor dead. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 9:10 a.m.; a security guard was administering first aid when officers found Taylor, who was transported in critical condition to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and later pronounced dead.

Investigators say the shooting grew out of a domestic-related dispute involving the suspect and another employee who was with Taylor after their shift. The altercation became physical, the suspect produced a rifle and fired multiple times, and Taylor was struck in the back while trying to intervene and separate the parties. Two shell casings and a cell phone were recovered at the scene.

Within days authorities identified 20-year-old Quentin S. Williams Jr. of Maywood as the primary suspect; he turned himself in the Saturday after the shooting and was charged with first-degree murder. A judge ordered Williams detained pending trial. Amazon expressed sorrow over the incident, said it was increasing security at the facility and is cooperating with the investigation.
