Samantha Renee Patrick, 22, was last seen September 12, 2002, at the Flying J Travel Plaza off Interstate 40 and Morgan Road in Oklahoma. Her body was found the next day behind an Albertsons grocery store in Yukon with multiple stab wounds to the neck and upper torso. Investigators reported no signs of a struggle or sexual assault where the body was located, and believe she was killed elsewhere and her body later abandoned.
Samantha frequented the truck stop and worked as a dancer in local establishments. Authorities later identified two people as primary suspects in her killing: John Robert Williams and his girlfriend Rachel Cumberland, but no charges were ever filed in Samantha’s homicide. Williams and Cumberland were prosecuted for a separate 2002 murder in Mississippi; Williams was serving a life sentence and Cumberland was later released from prison in 2013. The murder of Samantha Patrick remains an unsolved cold case and her family continues to seek answers.
Did anyone who knew Samantha or who worked at the Flying J or nearby establishments in September 2002 see or hear anything that could help her case?
