Loujean Titus Jimmie, also recorded as Loujean Jimmy or LueJean Jimmie, was a 29-year-old Dena Alaska Native mother who disappeared from Nenana, Alaska, on March 7, 1973. Initial searches turned grim when investigators found a large pool of blood inside her cabin eight days after she was reported missing, prompting the case to be treated as a homicide even though her body had not yet been recovered.
On April 19, 1973, a trapper found human remains along the Nenana River about a mile from town; the recovered parts were later identified as Loujean’s head and arms. Officials believed the victim had been dismembered, with some reports saying a chainsaw may have been used and describing the dismemberment as methodical and very professional.
Born to Charles Titus Sr. and Annie Thomas, Loujean married Lindred Jimmie in January 1960 and had a son, Rondell. No public information identifies a named suspect, arrest, charge, trial, or conviction in her murder; older references note a reward offered for information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Alaska Bureau of Investigation at 907-269-5611 or leave an anonymous tip by texting AKTIPS followed by the tip to 847411.
Did anyone in Nenana or the surrounding communities at the time have information that could finally close this case?
