Jermaine Pass, a man from Eupora, Mississippi, was found dead on the afternoon of July 10, 2026, inside a burned vehicle in the Tomnolen community of Webster County. Authorities determined Pass had been shot before the vehicle was set on fire, and investigators treated the discovery as a homicide involving both the fatal shooting and an apparent attempt to destroy or conceal evidence.
Eupora Police Chief Bryant Bell identified Jessie Sudduth, also of Eupora, as the suspect wanted in connection with Pass’s death. Police began searching for Sudduth and were working to obtain and distribute a photograph to help locate him. Officials have not disclosed what led to the shooting, where Pass was first attacked, whether he was killed inside the vehicle, or whether the vehicle and body were moved to Tomnolen.
Anyone with information about Jermaine Pass, the burned vehicle, or the whereabouts of Jessie Sudduth is asked to contact law enforcement.
