In the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026, 28-year-old Pedro Devora was found in the rear alley of an apartment building in the 19100 block of Bryant Street in Northridge, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded but Devora was pronounced dead at the scene; the Los Angeles County coroner later ruled cause of death multiple gunshot wounds and manner homicide.
LAPD Devonshire Area officers initially responded to reports of shots fired and an assault with a deadly weapon. Detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division, Valley Section, say a fight involving several people broke out in the alley shortly before the shooting. Investigators have canvassed the gated apartment complex for witnesses and evidence and have indicated a belief the killing may have been gang-related, though no motive has been confirmed.
No arrests or suspect descriptions have been released and the case remains an active homicide investigation. If anyone has information about the fight or the shooting, contact the Robbery-Homicide Division detectives.
