On Saturday, June 27, 2026, three members of one Jackson, Mississippi household were shot to death inside their home on Queen Alexandria Lane. Victims were 30-year-old Erica Weathersby, her sister Keyana Weathersby, 25, and Keyana’s 2-year-old son Camari Givens. Police described the scene as horrific; the Hinds County Coroner called it among the worst seen in a decade.

All three victims had been shot multiple times. The family’s red 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage was temporarily missing from the residence but was recovered the following day. Investigators say the attack was targeted and not random, and a stolen Jackson Police Department SWAT officer’s rifle is believed to have been used.

Four people were arrested within days: Cornelius Carter, 28, and Jordan Carter, 28, after a vehicle pursuit; 25-year-old Mikayla Young; and Devone Modacure, who was taken into custody in Forney, Texas with U.S. Marshals assistance. All four have been charged with capital murder and denied bond. Court proceedings had not taken place as of early July 2026, and police say the investigation remains ongoing with possible other persons of interest.

If anyone knew Erica, Keyana, or Camari, or has information about the events on June 27, please share what you know.
