Staniko Patrick Hannah, 34, was killed by a gunshot in Fort Wayne in the early hours of June 27, 2026. Officers responded shortly before 1 a.m. to a shooting at Eckart Street and Weisser Park Avenue and found Hannah in the street with an apparent gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allen County Coroner ruled the death a homicide from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Hannah’s death was recorded as the 17th homicide in Allen County that year and came amid a cluster of violent incidents in the Weisser Park area that week, including two other shootings—one fatal—and a life-threatening stabbing. The Fort Wayne Police Department canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and video evidence and said there were no suspects in initial reports. The Fort Wayne Police, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office are handling the investigation and have asked the public for tips.
