Jordan Elaine Wishon, 30, of Cliffside, North Carolina, disappeared from the Mooresboro area of Rutherford County around June 26, 2026. A missing person investigation led Rutherford County investigators to a residence on Pebblestone Lane in Rutherfordton. In the early morning of June 27 human remains were found buried on the property and later positively identified as Jordan Wishon.

An arrest warrant for first-degree murder was obtained June 28, 2026, for 25-year-old Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton of Rutherfordton; Hamilton was already in the Polk County Detention Center on separate charges including larceny of a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer when the warrant was issued. In the weeks after the discovery, authorities arrested eight additional people in connection with the case. Charges include accessory after the fact for Christina Hamilton, Tiquah Carter, and Issaac Odell, and both accessory after the fact and failure to report a death for Alexis Nicole Morgan, Ronald David Gibson, Shadrick Deon Hines, and Stevon Wilkerson.

Friends and neighbors described Wishon as sweet and helpful; she was a Mayland Community College graduate who worked as a server and is survived by a daughter and a fiancé. Does anyone in the Mooresboro or Rutherfordton area have information about Jordan’s last known movements or the residence on Pebblestone Lane?
