Neveah Gill, 19, was shot and killed late on June 22, 2026, outside the Eagle Crossing Apartments on Calvin Drive in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Emergency responders found her about 11:45 p.m. suffering multiple gunshot wounds; she was taken to Jennie Stuart Health with CPR in progress but later died at the hospital. A recent Christian County High School graduate, she had been active in FFA and the Black Student Union and was due to be sworn into the military days after her death.

Police arrested three people in connection with the case. Nineteen-year-old De’Quavion Bronaugh was charged with first-degree murder; 18-year-olds Dereon Sharp and Jervontae Bussell were charged with first-degree burglary. Investigators say Bronaugh was asleep in his apartment when the three entered, took a firearm and began leaving; Bronaugh awoke, saw them running with what he recognized as his gun, and opened fire. He reportedly told police he had not been threatened before he began shooting.

A judge found probable cause at a preliminary hearing in early July 2026 and sent the matter to a grand jury. Bond was set at $500,000 for Bronaugh and $20,000 each for Sharp and Bussell. If anyone knew Neveah or saw activity at Eagle Crossing on the night of June 22, what can you share that might help the investigation?
