A late-night shooting in North Philadelphia left two young men dead and two others wounded on June 21, 2026. Shortly before 3 a.m., police found multiple victims at 5th and Westmoreland streets in the Fairhill section after a burst of gunfire outside a lounge. Twenty-year-old Kenay Dejesus-Sanchez was located on the street and taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died of his injuries. Jayden Miguel Montalvo, also 20, was transported to another hospital and also died. Two other men suffered gunshot wounds and were driven to hospital by private vehicles; they were reported in stable condition.

Dejesus-Sanchez was originally from Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Investigators from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit were handling the double homicide and looking into whether the shooting was connected to the lounge’s grand opening. No arrests, charges, or public identifications of suspects have been announced. Does anyone have information about what happened that night or knew Kenay?
