A verbal dispute between two men on the evening of Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the Long Island area of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, ended in an exchange of gunfire that left both men dead. Deputies were called about 8:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Cedar Forest Road and found 34-year-old Tevin Devonte Davis and 47-year-old Kenton Deon Hubbard of Evington unresponsive with gunshot wounds; both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the shooting began after a disagreement escalated and that neither man lived at the home where the incident occurred, though one of the deceased was known to have an association with a resident. Both bodies were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Roanoke for autopsy to establish cause and manner of death. With both individuals killed in the exchange of gunfire, there are no suspects and no arrests in the case.

Does anyone have information about either man, or recall activity near Cedar Forest Road on the night of June 21?
