Late on the evening of June 20, 2026, a quadruple shooting in Montgomery, Alabama, left two young men dead and two other people wounded. Police first responded about 6:30 p.m. to the 1300 block of Eastern Boulevard, where 18-year-old Sa’Vion Gilchrist was found with a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene. The body of 20-year-old De’marion Calhoun was later located in the 5600 block of Carmichael Road; he had also been fatally shot.
Two other victims, a man and a woman, were treated at local hospitals — the man in critical condition and the woman with non-life-threatening injuries. On July 9, 2026, Montgomery police and the U.S. Marshals Taskforce arrested 19-year-old Dantrail Ladarrious Jones; he was charged with capital murder in the deaths of Calhoun and Gilchrist and with two counts of first-degree assault, and was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond. The motive and detailed circumstances of the shootings have not been publicly disclosed.
Does anyone have information about the events on Eastern Boulevard or Carmichael Road that evening?
