Michael Anthony Jones was killed in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 3, 1976, after an argument outside the Lucky Lady Lounge with acquaintance Edward Lewis Lagrone. The dispute escalated into a physical fight, during which Lagrone produced a .38-caliber revolver, shot Jones in the head and then fired additional rounds into his body. Jones died at the scene.
Police identified and arrested Lagrone shortly after the killing. He was charged, waived a jury trial, and on April 29, 1977 received a 20-year prison sentence for the slaying. Lagrone served about seven years and was released in 1984. Many personal details about Jones remain scant; the known facts focus on the argument outside the lounge that ended in a sudden burst of gunfire. Did anyone know Michael Anthony Jones or have information about his life before October 1976?
