It's really sad to think about life in Sutter County during the summer of 1971. Among all the fear and chaos from the unfolding Juan Corona case, it must have been such a tense time for everyone living there. I stumbled upon the name Lloyd Wallace Wenzel while researching and couldn't help but wonder how his life might have been affected by everything happening at that time. Even if there's no direct link between him and the serial killings, it's heartbreaking to think about how his friends and family may have been worried sick given the proximity to all those terrible events. Was Lloyd's death purely coincidental, or could there be more to the story? It's these lingering questions that keep the mystery alive and make us wonder about the stories that remain untold. My thoughts go out to Lloyd’s loved ones—having to contend with such uncertainties is truly tragic.
