Leslie Laura Brock was 19 when she was found dead on October 15, 1972, the victim of a savage attack that killed her from several severe blows to the head. She was a college student at the time. At least one witness reported seeing Brock get into a silver truck owned by a man named Harvey Carignan. Investigators noted the bludgeoning matched the violent pattern associated with Carignan, who had a documented history of assaults on women and later became linked to multiple other murders and attacks.

Despite the witness account and similarities to Carignan’s other crimes, he was never formally charged in Brock’s death; investigators determined the evidence was insufficient to obtain a conviction in her case. Carignan was later convicted for other murders and assaults and died in prison in 2023, but Leslie Brock’s murder remains officially uncharged in connection to him. Does anyone have information about Leslie’s final movements or remembers the silver truck seen that day?
