Quincy Lamont Faulkner, 26, was killed in a daytime ambush in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood on August 19, 2026. At about 3:51 p.m. Faulkner and 56-year-old Calvin Hunt were sitting inside a Ford Transit van in the 3800 block of South Western Boulevard when a Honda pulled up alongside. Multiple masked people reportedly dressed in black exited the Honda and opened fire, using at least one handgun and a weapon witnesses described as Draco-style; dozens of rounds were fired into the van.

Both men were critically wounded and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Faulkner, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival; Hunt was seriously wounded. The shooters fled westbound in the Honda. Chicago police opened a homicide investigation, but no arrests, identifications of suspects, or motive have been announced.

Are there any readers who saw the Honda or the shooting that afternoon or who have information that could help the investigation?
