Benjamin Lopez Jr., 27, was last heard from on June 2, 1991, when he called his aunt from Anchorage after leaving Stockton, California, on May 31. He had flown from Bellingham, Washington, to Anchorage and left his vehicle behind. During the call he said he planned to go mountain climbing and expected to return home in three weeks, but he was never heard from again.
At the time he was living with brain cancer and had a metal plate in his skull that left visible scars on his forehead. He is described as a white/Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. His disappearance is classified as endangered missing and remains open under suspicious circumstances.
Anyone who knew Benjamin, saw him in Anchorage that spring of 1991, or has any information is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers or the Stockton Police Department.
