In the early morning hours of August 15, 2026, 44-year-old Rosalyn Williams was shot and killed in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Houston, Texas. She and three others had gone to a Fairland Drive residence to help a friend leave an alleged domestic violence situation. According to the Houston Police Department, a man identified as 51-year-old Kendrick Maurice Williams returned to the home at about 2:35 a.m., allegedly opened fire on a vehicle in the driveway and struck Rosalyn and the three companions.
Rosalyn Williams suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene; her husband was left in critical condition and the two other women were injured and reported in stable condition. Authorities announced charges of one count of murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against Kendrick Maurice Williams, who has not been apprehended.
