On the late afternoon of August 15, 2026, Goldsboro, North Carolina, saw a double homicide at a residence on West Oak Street. Tristen William Mason, 20, of nearby Dudley, and 20-year-old Nasire Green of Goldsboro were found with apparent gunshot wounds around 5:15 p.m. Emergency responders pronounced both men dead at the scene.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit identified a suspect almost immediately: a 17-year-old male from Goldsboro who was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felony conspiracy. A few days later detectives developed information pointing to a second person. Arrest warrants were issued for 20-year-old Jamere Sessions of Goldsboro; with assistance from the State Bureau of Investigation and Greenville Police he was located, arrested without incident and charged with the same counts. Both defendants were ordered held without bond.
The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information about Tristen Mason, Nasire Green, or the events on West Oak Street that afternoon, please come forward.
