Tamela D. Dutcher, 55, was fatally shot inside her Bean Oller Road home in Delaware, Ohio, shortly after midnight on August 14, 2026. A 911 call from the residence led deputies to find her with gunshot injuries; she was taken to a hospital and died several hours later. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted Delaware County detectives as the death was investigated as a homicide.

Court filings allege that two men, Christian Evans, 20, and Dajameous Payne, 21, entered the home and shot Tamela Dutcher, with an additional shot fired toward her husband Neil King that missed. Investigators say traffic-camera and location data placed Evans in the area, and surveillance captured Evans and Payne leaving their residence that night wearing black and appearing to wear gloves. Prosecutors allege deleted cellphone messages recovered from Tamela’s daughter, 18-year-old Bryanna Dutcher, show planning and references to who was in the house; Bryanna has denied participating in a plot. All three were indicted on aggravated murder and are awaiting further court proceedings.

If anyone knew Tamela, Bryanna, or had information about activity on Bean Oller Road the night of August 14, please share what is known.
