Lanessa Bradford, 50, an elementary school employee from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was found dead of a gunshot wound after she failed to show up for work and colleagues requested a welfare check. Her body was discovered in the passenger seat of a vehicle stopped by police in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, when officers pulled the car over. Investigators in Baton Rouge say Bradford was shot in Baton Rouge, likely at Independence Community Park, following an argument with her husband, Tyronne Brazille, who was driving the vehicle.
Friends said Bradford had been planning to leave her husband, saving money and arranging to stay with out-of-town family. They also reported that Brazille had a history of mental health problems and had allegedly threatened harm if she tried to leave. Brazille was arrested in Memphis and held as a fugitive before being returned to Baton Rouge on a second-degree murder charge.
What information do readers in Baton Rouge or Memphis have about Bradford’s last known movements or about Independence Community Park on August 13?
