Jean-Alessander Silvero, 28, was found dead in a Woodside motel room in Queens on July 11, 2019. His death was ruled fentanyl intoxication, and investigators later linked his death to a pattern in which a woman met clients at motels, supplied drugs laced with fentanyl, then robbed incapacitated victims and left them.
Security footage showed Angelina Barini entering the room with Silvero earlier that day. Prosecutors say Silvero was one of several men who died after receiving drugs from Barini; she was connected to at least three other similar overdose deaths between July and August 2019, including a prominent Italian chef.
Barini later pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing narcotics that led to the deaths of two victims, including Silvero, and to other drug distribution charges; she was sentenced to 30 years in prison in April 2022. Does anyone have information about Silvero’s movements in Queens that day or recalls seeing him at local motels?
