Suzanne Lillian Aldworth was 16 when she vanished on the evening of November 17, 1972, after leaving a Waterloo restaurant to make a telephone call and never returning. Her home was only about a three-block walk from the restaurant; when she failed to arrive her parents reported her missing the next morning.

On Sunday, November 19, two people riding horses found Suzanne’s nude body in a snow-filled roadside ditch west of Kitchener near St. Agatha. She had been severely beaten. Provincial police treated the death as a homicide, brought in the criminal investigation branch, and scheduled an autopsy; reports place her death sometime between November 18 and November 19.

Investigators later developed a strong suspect they believed was a member of the Henchmen motorcycle gang active in Kitchener in the 1970s and thought the killing followed Suzanne resisting sexual advances. Police said they lacked enough admissible evidence to lay a murder charge, and no arrest, charge, trial, or conviction is recorded.

Does anyone have memories, documents, or leads about Suzanne, the area west of Kitchener in November 1972, or the Henchmen gang that could help the case?
