Laura Lee Cross was 33 and living on Middle Street in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, when she disappeared in the summer of 2001. She was last seen on July 12, 2001, and reported missing the following month. Her remains were recovered more than a year later after hunters found skeletal remains off a logging road near Dollar Lake Provincial Park on October 14, 2002; investigators identified the remains as Cross and treated the matter as a homicide.

Public information does not disclose a specific cause of death or the forensic details that led police to classify the death as a homicide. The case was later included in Nova Scotia’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, with a reward that was initially up to $50,000 and was later increased to as much as $150,000. No publicly identified suspect, arrest, charge, trial, or conviction has been reported, and the homicide remains unsolved.

Did anyone who knew Laura or who was in the Dartmouth or Dollar Lake area in July 2001 see or hear anything that could help investigators?
