Robert Louis Alsbrook was 30 when he was shot and killed on August 8, 1978, in Concord, North Carolina. He was sitting in his car parked at the former Cabarrus County Fairgrounds on Cabarrus Avenue West when he was first shot. After being wounded he ran toward a tent revival across from the fairgrounds on Union Cemetery Road and was shot a second time there.
Alsbrook lived in Charlotte’s Hidden Valley neighborhood. His murder remains unsolved and authorities continue to seek information that could help solve the case.
If anyone knew Robert, saw him that day, or has information about activity near the fairgrounds or the tent revival on August 8, 1978, please come forward.
