Lorelee Sue Lhotka was 19 when she vanished from Seattle, Washington, in 1975. The exact date of her disappearance is not known; January 1, 1975, is sometimes used as a placeholder. On the day she was last seen she reportedly left home to go to a doctor’s appointment and was expected to take the bus, though she sometimes hitchhiked.

Nothing more was heard from her after she left for that appointment. In 1978 her wallet was found at Blewitt Pass in the Wenatchee National Forest, a remote site miles from Seattle. That sole physical find convinced those involved that this was not simply a voluntary disappearance, but it did not produce further leads.

The case has few details and remains an open investigation. If anyone has information about Lorelee’s movements in 1975 or remembers seeing her wallet or her that year, please come forward.
