On August 1, 2017, 60-year-old Lori Lynn left her Ravenna, Ohio, home to pick up her mother, Wanda Pullin, at family property on Shannon Road in Liberty Township. She was later found dead the next day, face-down on a small tractor and partially submerged in a pond on the property. Security cameras captured Lori’s car parking behind a barn that day in an area littered with glass and construction debris, which relatives say was out of character for her.

Trumbull County Coroner Humphrey Germaniuk changed the manner of death from accidental to homicide in 2018, reporting the scene appeared staged and noting Lori had no water in her lungs, suggesting she died before entering the pond. The coroner and family emphasized Lori’s decades of experience operating heavy equipment when questioning an accidental-driving scenario. The family says key items, including the tractor, were not properly processed for DNA and were later discarded.

Lori’s daughters, Samantha and Corrie, have pursued private investigation and civil action and created WhoKilledLoriLynn.com to seek tips. The case remains unsolved and open; anyone with information that could identify the person responsible is asked to come forward.
