Quincy Battle, 32, was shot and killed on March 24, 2010, at his home on the east side of Columbus. Battle was reported to sell marijuana from the residence and was targeted by members of the Short North Posse who believed he had about fifteen pounds of marijuana hidden there. Battle tried to grab Holt’s gun, and both Holt and the accomplice opened fire, fatally wounding him.

The case remained unresolved for several years amid the gang’s activities and investigative challenges. Holt was later indicted along with other Short North Posse members in a large racketeering and drug-trafficking case; he was charged in Battle’s murder as part of those counts. If anyone knew Quincy, his routine, or saw suspicious activity at his home around March 24, 2010, contact the authorities with what you remember.
