Lora Lyann Stubbs was 25 and living on the 1300 block of Brewster Avenue in Cincinnati when she disappeared in 1996. A mother with a young son who had been placed in her mother’s custody, Stubbs was described as biracial with brown hair and brown eyes, a small rose tattoo above her left breast and a small scar inside her left eyebrow. She had a history of drug abuse but was reportedly in recovery and clean at the time she vanished.
On the day she disappeared she called her parents in nearby Hamilton saying she felt sick and wanted to come stay with them. She said she would get something to eat and return to the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, asking her parents to pick her up there. She was last seen near Gilbert Avenue and McMillan Street in Cincinnati. Her family filed a missing person report and there has been no activity on her Social Security number since her disappearance. Investigators say very few clues exist and the case remains open.
If anyone knew Lora, saw her in Cincinnati or Hamilton in 1996, or has information about her whereabouts, please come forward.
