Roger J. Miller, 68, was last seen at his Zalma, Missouri home on October 26, 1993. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches, about 155 pounds, with graying hair, blue eyes, dark eyeglasses, and a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. A distinctive physical feature is that he was missing the pinkie finger on one hand.
Investigators found blood at Miller’s ranch and concluded the scene suggested a violent encounter inside his home; some green plastic was also noted missing from the property after he was last seen. He was declared legally dead in 1994, and the case remains open with the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office. Little else is publicly known about the timeline or who might have been involved.
Did anyone in Zalma at that time see activity at Miller’s property or notice the missing green plastic?
