Mario Banales was 35 when he was shot and killed on July 2, 2006, near 4865 Sinclair Road in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. He sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Columbus Police Department investigated the homicide, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation continues to list his death among unsolved cases in hopes of generating new leads.
