On October 18, 2008, 23-year-old Latino male Larry Christopher Greene Jr. was shot inside the Brite Spot Mexican Grill in the 1100 block of East San Antonio Drive in Long Beach, California. He died of his wounds on October 27, 2008, according to Los Angeles County coroner records.
Long Beach Police identified Jose Manuel Flores Jr. as the suspect. Flores, a convicted felon at the time, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon on March 9, 2010, but fled California before he could be arrested. A federal arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on June 24, 2010. Flores is described as 5 feet 7 inches, about 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, multiple tattoos on his right arm, back, chest, head and neck, and has used the aliases Willie and Malo. Authorities say he may have ties to Southern California and Mexico and are seeking tips that could lead to his capture.
If anyone has information about Flores’s whereabouts or knew Greene, please share what you know with investigators.
