Steven Thell Koecher, 30, was last seen on December 13, 2009, in the Anthem neighborhood of Henderson, Nevada. He had driven from St. George, Utah, that morning; in the days before his disappearance he made extensive, unexplained trips across Utah and Nevada, including a stop in Ruby Valley to see the family of a former girlfriend. Security cameras recorded him parking a white 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier at the end of a cul-de-sac, then walking away carrying what looked like a folder or portfolio. He never returned to view and has not been seen since.

Koecher’s car was found abandoned in the same upscale neighborhood on December 14. Personal items remained inside — shaving kit, coats, pillows and recent Christmas gifts — but his wallet, driver’s license and cell phone were missing. His laptop and phone charger were later recovered at his home. For two days after the sighting, his phone pinged various Henderson towers; the last activity was checking voicemail on the morning of December 14, then the signal was lost.

Family members do not believe he would have voluntarily disappeared or taken his own life; there is no evidence publicly reported of foul play. Does anyone who knew Steven or saw him in Henderson in mid-December 2009 have information that could help clarify his movements that day?
