Robert Charles Livers, 54, a Cherokee Nation native living on tribal land in Vinita, Oklahoma, disappeared the evening of April 26, 2008. He was a resident of Edna Lee’s Residential Care Home and had multiple serious health issues including diabetes, mental illness, and seizures. Staff reported he had been disoriented in the days before he vanished after recent seizures and is believed to have walked away from the facility at about 10:00 p.m. He has surgical scars on his chest and abdomen and is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 110 pounds, with graying hair and brown eyes; it is unclear whether he was wearing eyeglasses when last seen.
His medical needs and disorientation at the time of his disappearance are central concerns, since his conditions required medication. The Vinita Police Department is the investigating agency, and there have been no confirmed sightings or contact since that night. His family purchased a headstone as a memorial while the case remains open and unresolved.
Does anyone in the area remember seeing Robert or have information about his movements the night he left the care home?
