Julius Melhado was 27 when he was shot and killed on October 6, 1996, at 360 N. Garfield Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. Emergency responders reached the scene but Melhado died shortly afterward of a gunshot wound. The Columbus Police Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have been involved in the inquiry.
