On July 24, 1994, 39-year-old Jamie Jones of Fostoria, Ohio, was shot twice and killed at the southeast corner of East Crocker Street and South Poplar Street. He had been seen in the early morning hours near that intersection after reportedly spending time with acquaintances. Jones was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 300 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The Fostoria Police Department, assisted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, continues to investigate the unsolved homicide and is asking anyone with information to contact Fostoria Police Detective Frankart. No substantial breakthroughs have been reported and the case remains open.
